With over 13 years of dedicated experience at a founder-led company in the financial services industry, Emily is a seasoned professional who brings a unique blend of expertise in event management, strategic communications, and impactful marketing strategies. Her journey from event planner to communications and marketing executive is marked by innovation, leadership, and a deep understanding of how to effectively engage audiences through shared experiences. Throughout her career, Emily has led many diverse teams and is adept at navigating organizational dynamics as well as developing positive culture.

Emily received her bachelor's degree in speech communication and public relations from the University of Central Arkansas and is a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP). She was honored to be a member of the 2019-2022 Omni Hotels & Resorts Group Customer Advisory Board and was a Connect Corporate 2018 "40 Under 40" honoree.

Emily lives in Plano, Texas with her husband and three children. She is an avid reader and once read 99 books, cover to cover, in one calendar year.

How does pricing work?

No two projects are the same. Hourly rates and project pricing options are available. Have more of an ongoing need? A month-to-month retainer model may be the right fit for you.

Do you only serve clients in the Dallas area?

Emily James Projects accepts clients from all over the United States. On the occasion that travel is required (e.g. event travel or in-person meeting requirements) costs will be factored into pricing estimates.

I have an employee going on temporary family leave. Do you take temporary contracts to fill in for existing marketing and communication roles?

Yes. I have experience from tactical execution to high-level strategy development and can jump in to a myriad of roles across marketing, events, and communications.

Do you only work with small businesses?
